Project Coordinator

Bursa Uludağ University is one of the biggest universities in its region and Türkiye. BUU will lead the project because it is actively working on sustainable fashion and textile practices in the VET sector on a tertiary level. In addition to 4 institutes, 15 faculties, BUU has 16 vocational high schools at tertiary level to train qualified intermediate manpower for the industry and service sectors. The textile engineering department, BUU Vocational School of Technical Sciences Fashion Design programme, İnegöl Vocational School Textile Technology Programme are departments which serve as an education and training source related to textile and sustainable practices in this sector. It has several subjects dealing with sustainable textile practices. BUU textile engineering department, Vocational School of Technical Sciences Fashion Design programme, İnegöl Vocational School Textile Technology Programme has been implementing events, designing theoretical and applied projects, cooperate with local and national stakeholder to promote sustainable textile practices in the sector and equip its students who are future textile professional with demanded knowledge and skills.

Iznik Vocational and Technical High School (IMTAL)

IMTAL has a Fashion Design Technology Department which follows the curriculum determined by TR MONE. IMTAL’s students receive training in the design, pattern making and sewing stages of a product. In addition, they receive information and practice about the preparation of accessories, which are the complementary elements of clothing. They promote their products and design works through exhibitions or fashion shows during the term. IMTAL has participated in local, national (TÜBİTAK) and European Projects including E+ Projects and E-twinning. A study was made on the “Derbent Bezi”, a regional fabric from İznik that is about to be forgotten, and the patterns used in this regional fabric were designed on clothes and brought back to the agenda. REMODE project will complement ongoing activities of IMTAL by adding sustainability aspects to textile design and production education in addition to giving it a chance to learn from and change best practices from VET providers in different countries. 

Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry Education Foundation (BUTGEM)

BUTGEM which has many commercial enterprises as members, offers Vocational Training and Vocational Development programs in Demirtaş Organized Industrial Zone in Bursa, one of the most important industrial centers of our country, in response to this demand in order to train qualified personnel sought in the industry.It has graduated 40.000 people in more than 2000 training programs so far. It has been providing VET courses in the areas of Sewing Machine Operator, Fashion design, Baby Apparel, Vocational training and language training for Syrians under temporary protection and disadvantaged individuals in the textile sector. BUTGEM, especially with its physical and educational infrastructure in the textile field, It can provide courses in 21 branches of education under the fields of Textile Pattern Design, Fashion Design and Weaving. In addition to course and training, BUTGEM provides employment opportunities for its target groups thanks to its wide network in the textile industry. 

Nicea Culture and Education Association

The mission of NICEA is to encourage the empowerment of individuals towards sustainable development of local communities, through international cooperation, education and training. NICEA has a long and rich experience of using NFE methods in ESD and E+ project management background. NICEA has been partnering with IMTAL and BUU on enriching the lives of students with E+ projects and providing teachers and trainers with educational tools on ESD. REMODE will complement NICEA’s activities by promoting its knowledge, skills and experience about sustainability practices in the fashion and textile sector, providing a chance of cooperation with organizations working on sustainable development goals.

Università Iuav di Venezia is one of the leading universities in Europe and across the world in the fields of architecture, design, fashion, visual arts, urban and regional planning, and theatre. Università Iuav di Venezia is committed to developing economic, environmental, and social sustainability by mainstreaming it into the actions and behaviours in teaching and research, governance, spaces, and community. To this end, Iuav promotes and organises many actions and projects while encouraging responsible lifestyles to improve the quality of the university experience and the relationship with the peculiar urban context of the city of Venice in line with the UN 2030 Agenda. Università Iuav di Venezia has several academic research articles, initiatives and projects on sustainable textile sector including Dying with Nature (2024), “Earth, Water, Air, and Fire: the four Elements of Fashion” (2023), Living Labs. Fashion Response-Ability Transnational Dialogues and Local Impact (2021), Biofashion (2021), Fashion Futuring collaborative research group (2019 today), Visualizing Innovation in the Textile Industry (2016-17), TEXTILE AND FASHION HUB (2014).

Eduforma

Eduforma is an accredited VET centre by the Veneto Region for Lifelong Learning, education and Vocational Guidance, as well as for Labor Services. Eduforma is developing projects increasingly concerning sustainable green practices and circular economy, while also enhancing its own internal commitment to sustainability, reduction of waste and environment-friendly job procedures. Eduforma’s professional background about VET and coughing for employment are accompanied by its rich project experience about the VET sector. “EGE: Empowering Green Entrepreneurship” (www.egeproject.eu); “Streampreneur” (https://streampreneur.eu/) targeting youth workers with the aim to transmit to youth hard competences and soft skills related to STREAM disciplines (STEM + Research and Arts) and entrepreneurial mindset for the businesses of the future to be successful in creating a positive impact on environment and society. 

Mine Vaganti NGO

Mine Vaganti NGO (MVNGO) is a Social Enterprise founded in 2009 in Sardinia and today runs global activities with its headquarters in Sassari, Alghero, Berlin and various HUBs.  

MVNGO specializes in social innovation, education, and entrepreneurship. It has extensive experience in Erasmus+ projects, promoting sustainability and inclusive learning. Through ReMODE, MVNGO supports the development of training methodologies, digital resources, and entrepreneurship programs for professionals in the textile and fashion industry. 

Specialized in Non-Formal Education, On-Field Research and Dissemination, MVNGO has a track record of more than 200 granted projects, a staff of more than 50 collaborators. 

Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB)

The Research Centre for Sustainable, Ethical & Circular Fashion and Textiles (FRFashtech) is situated within the Management Science Lab (MSL) at the Department of Management Science and Technology in Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB). Since 2015 the Centre for Sustainable Fashion is running several projects working on the transformation of the industry, the promotion of new supply chain and production models, new educational programs, especially for the development of green, ethical and sustainable supply chains, production processes, technological platforms and logistics. The Centre is coordinating circular fashion accelerator for SMEs ‘Small but Perfect’ (co-financed by the EU EISMEA COSME 2021-2023); is running the global Fashion Revolution Summer School an international 3 weeks program in collaboration with leading US and European universities; it coordinates educational programTransparency Manager in the fashion industry’ (co financed by Erasmus+ 2022-2024), coordinates ‘Social and Sustainable Fashion Entrepreneurs-SOFE’ (financed by EU Erasmus+ 2015-2017); runs and participates in various research, training, consulting, and campaigning activities. 

PANSiK Scuola di Moda

PANSiK fashion school was founded in 1977 and has been providing professional courses ever since, covering all sections of the fashion industry. It is a private school (VET- Lifelong learning centre) specializing in Fashion, recognized by the Ministry of Education and EOPPEP (National Organization of Qualification Certification and Professional Orientation). As a VET institution, the team of the school research the skills needed from the companies in this sector so as to meet the training needs of the market. Over the last years, PANSiK has collaborated with other academic institutions abroad (e.g. POLIMODA, Florence) as well as with international fashion brands and cultural institutions. As a fashion school, sustainability in this sector is one of the priorities of PANSIK. It has courses and activities to shed light on the future’s textile industry in terms of sustainability and ethical production. 

Friedrich Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg

As a central research institute at FAU, in the context of learning, lifelong learning and technology supported learning, the Institut for Lern-Innovation-(ILI) has been widely involved since 1986 in European R&D Projects in the field of innovative learning technologies for supporting learning processes in different settings for different target groups. As a high-tech solution provider in the education and VET sector, ILI’s focus is on the VET sector in general; instead of focusing on one sector, ILI supports diverse VET sectors with its expertise and experience in digitalization. Some projects on digitalization and green transition in the VET sector of ILI are; AGILE-2-VET – Abilitating diGItal Learning to innovate VET sector; Workplace Basic Skills Training for Low-Skilled Migrants; RistoVet – Rural Innovative Sustainable Tourism for VET. 

Life Learning Development

Life Learning Development Vet Center has been providing Non-formal Vocational Educational Training (VET) particularly to migrant communities to ease their entrance to the labour market and to support their social inclusion. LLD Vet has rich experience of project development and management in the areas of the Sustainable Development Goals and especially in Circular Economy including ‘’Social learning through low carbon and green Economy opportunities in climate actions’’, ‘’Mapping SustainAble and Greentech soLutions for enhancing best Practices in societal carbon footprint rEducation’’, ‘’Empowering Migrant Women for Job Insertion’’. LLD Vet has gained skills, knowledge and experience regarding the sustainable fashion and textile sector with Erasmus + KA220-VET the project Social Growth for Circular Fashion(SOGFASH). The project focuses on developing, organizing, and evaluating an experimental pedagogical plan for training and empowering women in circular and heritage fashion in the garment and textile sector. REMODE project will complement LLD Vet’s activities in sustainable textile by enriching its capacity and network and providing educational materials for migrant communities who are mostly employed in the textile sector. 

NGO NEST Berlin

NGO NEST Berlin was co-founded in 2016 by 4 leading NGOs in the field: Mine Vaganti NGO (MVNGO), The Comparative Research Network (CRN), the InterCultural-Youth-Dialogue-Assocication (IYDA) and Mitosis Coworking Space. 

At NGO NEST Berlin, years of experience in the fields of social innovation, European project management, transnational mobility, international cooperation and education, especially in the Non-Formal Education (NFE) sector, join forces to bring about social change. 

NEST co-operates with stake holding parties throughout Europe with the intent to exchange best practices in education, vocational training and employability, as well as in social inclusion and disadvantaged urban / rural development projects. Nest Berlin operational and cooperation areas are SDGs and sustainability in diverse sectors basically with the aim of providing its target group with employability opportunities in sustainable green sectors. Some projects that serves as a base for the REMODE project by providing knowledge and experience are; Sustainability through Cross Border Circular Economy (SCRCE); New Upskilling Pathways for Adult Migrants in Craftsmanship; ECO-citizens for a Sustainable Society; Raising YOUth awareness of BIO-diversity conservation via webtoon [BIOYOUTOON]. 

Kajaani University of Applied Sciences

Kajaani University of Applied Sciences offers higher education for experts, supports professional growth and carries out research & development activities. KAMK has approximately 3,300 students and 300 members of staff and offers several bachelor’s and master’s degrees. KAMK has sufficient knowledge of the textile waste sector in Finland. Currently, KAMK is the Lead Partner in THREAD project (Textile and Habiliment Reuse for the Environment and NPA Area Development, co-funded by Interreg NPA), NOWA (Nordic Waste Management Vision, co-funded by Interreg Aurora), SUSWAM (Sustainable waste management in Kainuu and Karelia, co-funded by Karelia CBC Programme), REMAC (Renewing Sludge Management Concepts, co-funded by Karelia CBC Programme). 

Raseko

Raisio, Finland

Raseko is a multidisciplinary VET provider owned by six communes. There are approx. 3600 students and 200 staff members at Raseko. Raseko offers vocational, further vocational and specialist vocational qualifications in the textile and fashion industry in the areas from ancient technology, textiles, textile dyeing to the use of digital solutions. Raseko has good workspaces and a student repair sewing shop. It also has a clothing exchange organized by Raseko students and guided by their teachers. In addition, Raseko’s business and administration department also take apart to teach and develop studies related to textile and fashion industry. 

SOFFA-Social Fashion Factory

SOFFA is a manufacturing production studio, a cooperative of fashion designers and professionals, that creates sustainable fashion garments with great social and environmental impact. As a Small Medium Enterprise, Nest Soffa has several initiatives and projects including EU HORIZON, COSME, Accelerator for SMEs & Start-ups, Erasmus+ (see list of funded projects). 

ProxyLab

Raisio, Finland

ProxyLab is a Tech provider and training provider entity. It has been providing vocational education on the basis of local needs of the labor market. Olemisen has a powerful business and educational background. Olemisen has been also providing training and courses in practices and training in order to make educational experiences more accessible and trackable. Olemisen has a long history as a VET provider and it has many EU projects which concentrate on sustainability and digitalisation in the labour market. These projects includes ‘’Sunnan 10- Empower Employees to Learn Digital Skills at Workplace’’, ‘’Educational eXplanations and Practices in Emergency Remote Teaching’’, ‘’Sustainable Life Skills’’; ‘’AMORE: Adults’ Micromachismo Reeducation’’; ‘’Qualified basic skills training’’ ReMODE project will enhance the capacity of the Olemisen in terms of digitalisation in textile industry.
