Bursa Uluda\u011f University is one of the biggest universities in its region and T\u00fcrkiye. BUU will lead the project because it is actively working on sustainable fashion and textile practices in the VET sector on a tertiary level. In addition to 4 institutes, 15 faculties, BUU has 16 vocational high schools at tertiary level to train qualified intermediate manpower for the industry and service sectors. IMTAL <\/span>has<\/span> a Fashion Design Technology Department <\/span>which<\/span> follows the curriculum <\/span>determined<\/span> by TR MONE. <\/span>IMTAL\u2019s<\/span> students<\/span> receive<\/span> training in the design, pattern making and <\/span>sewing<\/span> stages of a product. In <\/span>addition<\/span>, <\/span>they<\/span> receive<\/span> information and practice <\/span>about<\/span> the <\/span>preparation<\/span> of <\/span>accessories<\/span>, <\/span>which<\/span> are the <\/span>complementary<\/span> elements<\/span> of <\/span>clothing<\/span>. <\/span>They<\/span> promote<\/span> their<\/span> products and design works <\/span>through<\/span> exhibitions<\/span> or fashion shows <\/span>during<\/span> the <\/span>term<\/span>. IMTAL <\/span>has<\/span> participated<\/span> in <\/span>local<\/span>, national (T\u00dcB\u0130TAK) and <\/span>European<\/span> Projects <\/span>including<\/span> E+ Projects and E-<\/span>twinning<\/span>. A study <\/span>was<\/span> made on the “<\/span>Derbent<\/span> Bezi<\/span>”, a <\/span>regional<\/span> fabric<\/span> from <\/span>\u0130znik<\/span> that<\/span> is<\/span> about<\/span> to be <\/span>forgotten<\/span>, and the patterns <\/span>used<\/span> in <\/span>this<\/span> regional<\/span> fabric<\/span> were<\/span> designed<\/span> on <\/span>clothes<\/span> and <\/span>brought<\/span> back to the agenda. PANSiK<\/span> fashion school <\/span>was<\/span> founded<\/span> in 1977 and <\/span>has<\/span> been<\/span> providing<\/span> professional<\/span> courses<\/span> ever<\/span> since<\/span>, <\/span>covering<\/span> all<\/span> sections<\/span> of the fashion <\/span>industry<\/span>. <\/span>It<\/span> is<\/span> a private school (VET- Lifelong learning centre) <\/span>specializing<\/span> in Fashion, <\/span>recognized<\/span> by the <\/span>Ministry<\/span> of <\/span>Education<\/span> and EOPPEP (National Organization of <\/span>Qualification<\/span> Certification<\/span> and Professional <\/span>Orientation<\/span>). <\/span>As<\/span> a VET institution, the team of the school <\/span>research<\/span> the skills <\/span>needed<\/span> from the companies in <\/span>this<\/span> sector<\/span> so <\/span>as<\/span> to <\/span>meet<\/span> the training <\/span>needs<\/span> of the market.
